Update to: NEW COVID-19 RULES FOR THE MOVEMENT ACCORDING TO AGE GROUPS

EFFECTIVE FROM 0:00 ON MAY 11, 2020

THE ENTIRE REGION OF MURCIA IS ENTERING PHASE I: HERE WE SUMMARIZE THE NEW RULES APPROVED ON SATURDAY 9th MAY, WHICH WILL COME INTO FORCE FROM MONDAY, MAY 11:

Preliminary Note: These new authorizations are NOT applicable to people with covid_19 or quarantined symptoms.

In any event, you must respect the safety and hygiene measures established by the health authorities for the prevention of COVID-19, and in particular those relating to the maintenance of a minimum safety distance of at least two metres, or, failing that, alternative measures of physical protection, hand hygiene, mask or face visors.

Relaxation of measures:

You can move freely throughout the region of Murcia, but you will not be able to move to other regions except for a medical urgency or force majeure situation.

Groups of people can consist of a maximum of 10 people but respecting the distance of 2 meters or, alternatively adopt measures of physical protection, hygiene, respiratory masks.

Retail businesses may open: clothing stores, perfumeries, etc. provided they have a surface area of less than 400 square metres, all being obliged, depending on the type of establishment, to adopt health and safety measures for the staff employed and the clientele.

There is a continuing obligation to promote ways of working that avoid personal contact, therefore, wherever possible, those workers who are able to carry out their working activities remotely will continue to be encouraged to work from home.

The following can open: museums, scientific conferences, laboratories, libraries, and cultural events, but each sector will have its specific rules for prevention, and with limited capacity. Churches and places of worship can open, respecting a maximum of 1/3 of the authorised capacity.

Wakes and funerals are permitted, with a maximum of 10 people in a closed space, or 15 people in an open space.

It is possible to use public transport but it is mandatory to use a mask and recommend its use for all other activities.

Sports facilities can be opened; open-air sports facilities are considered to be any uncovered sporting facility, regardless of whether or not it is located within an open or closed precinct, lacking either walls or a roof, and allowing the practice of sporting activities. Pools, water sports areas, showers, changing rooms and padel courts with walls or a roof are excluded from the provisions of this article. Swimming pools, water areas, showers or changing rooms and paddle tennis courts are excluded from the provisions of this article if they have walls or roof.

Hotels and tourist accommodation are allowed to reopen, but the use of communal areas remains prohibited. The use of pools, spas, gyms, children’s clubs, play areas, discotheques, events rooms and all similar spaces not essential for the use of hotel or tourist accommodation is not permitted.

Open-air cafe, restaurant and hotel terraces can open, but the maximum capacity will be reduced to 50% of the maximum capacity authorised prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, and groups will consist of a maximum of 10 people, always respecting the 2 metre distance between tables or groups of different tables.

IMPORTANT NOTE: as we appear to be carrying out instructions correctly, we should not now relax our guard or break any of these rules, and in particular, we should continue to scrupulously observe all hygiene measures, the use of masks, social distancing, etc. as we are all banking on this nightmare coming to an end. These measures, and all this effort, serve no purpose without your wholehearted cooperation. PLEASE, ALL OF YOU, LOOK AFTER YOURSELVES, AND OTHERS TOO. These measures and all the effort without your collaboration is useless. TAKE CARE OF ALL OF YOU AND TAKE CARE OF OTHERS.
