Corvera airport and the Costa Cálida are set to receive approximately 9200 tourists from the Czech Republic over the coming months. This is part of a programme that has been part ogranised by the Murcia regional tourism authorities as part of continued efforts to increase tourism in the area.
The first charter flight landed in Corvera airport on Tuesday this week. These flights are a result of ongoing collaborations between leading tour operators in Europe, including Quality Tours, Delfín and Fischer. Over the next five months, these tour operators will be flying tourists to Murcia for one and two week stays across the region. This includes hotels in Mar Menor, La Manga and Mazarrón. There will also be a range of day trips on offer include the stunning mountains of the Sierra Espuña, boat trips on the Mar Menor, tours of the beautiful beaches and regional park in Calblanque y Monte de las Cenizas and city tours in Murcia and Cartagena.
Half of the visitors from the Czech Republic are expected to be travelling on seniors tours which are intended for tourists over 55 years old. These will take place outside the busy months of July and August.
