Tourists visiting Murcia who would like to enjoy a side trip to the Canaries can now obtain a special pass covering all the islands when flying with Binter.

Binter’s AirPassExplorer enables passengers flying to the archipelago – from both national (including Corvera Airport Murcia) and international destinations – to visit various islands “at very competitive prices”.

Those taking advantage of the offer must have a round-trip ticket (origin outside the Canaries) and select a minimum of three “internal” (Canary Islands) flights.

Binter operates three weekly flights linking Murcia and the Canaries: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The departure times from Corvera Airport Murcia are Mondays 7 pm, Wednesdays 12.30 pm and Fridays 7.30 pm; and returning from the Canaries, Mondays 2.45 pm, Wednesdays 8.15 am and Fridays 3.15 pm.

According to the airline, “This new product completes Binter’s commitment to improving connectivity with the Canary Islands and facilitates access to all the islands, an objective already served by products such as Discover, Binter’s stopover, designed to visit two islands on the same trip; and a free connecting flight in the Canary Islands, which the company offers on all its domestic flights outside the islands.

“This (AirPassExplorer) is the perfect option for those travellers who wish to visit more than two islands and discover all the variety of landscapes and experiences offered by the archipelago, as it gives access to a special fare of only €40 euros per flight plus taxes.”

Through Binter’s website, users can – at least seven days before the first flight – purchase and configure their AirPass Explorer for a minimum of three flights and up to a maximum of eight, although the same route cannot be repeated.

There is no maximum number of days to stay, but at least four nights must elapse between the first and last flight, and 24 hours between each of them.

Meanwhile, according to regional tourism authorities, this autumn Corvera Airport Murcia will be maintaining international connections with Dublin, Birmingham and Manchester (all Ryanair), London Gatwick (EasyJet) and Oujda in Morocco (Air Arabia).

Earlier this month, regional president Fernando López Miras also announced plans for a new weekly flight service between Murcia and Porto in Portugal next summer.
